Plot
Premise of the story follows veteran film producer 'Ben' (Robert De Niro), still chafing over his recent separation from his wife 'Kelly' (Robin Wright Penn), while having to deal with a deliberate arson fire set by red-lipsticked Brit film director 'Jeremy'.
To Ben's delight, Jeremy makes some cuts to a film that promise to pay off big at the box office, but when the film is screened at Cannes, the increasingly unbalanced Jeremy has a shocking surprise in store.

The cast of characters include 'Kelly', Ben's ex-wife and mother of their two young children (who has an affair with Ben's writer friend 'Scott'), 'Lou Tarnow', a powerful female studio head convinced that Ben and Jeremy's new movie is box office poison, 'Dick Bell', a Hollywood agent who is single, wealthy and neurotic to the point of incapacity, 'Zoe', Ben's gorgeous 17 year old daughter, 'Johnny', a Middle Eastern film producer constantly surrounded by beautiful starlets, 'Cal', a frazzled director, 'Dr. Montez', a female "separation" therapist, 'Laura', an ambitious young development executive, 'Abba Peterson', a glass-eyed film investor with deep pockets and 'Mary', a photographer's assistant who organizes a shoot of A-list producers for a Vanity Fair magazine spread.
