Maureen
(Robin Wright Penn) is pregnant and her mentally ill husband
Eddie (Sean Penn) has disappeared for a few days. Nervous,
Maureen shares a couple of drinks with neighbour Kiefer
(James Gandolfini), who attempts to rape her and beats her
up. When Eddie returns and finds his wife battered he goes
ballistic, shoots a mental health worker that tries to help
him and is put in a mental home. 10 years later Eddie is
released and finds that Maureen divorced him, remarried
with Joey (John Travolta), and has three children, one which
is his little girl Jeanie (Kelsey Mulrooney). Eddie wanting
